Is it possible to become a mother without 'losing yourself'?

As a new mother, you want to fully embrace the journey of motherhood, but perhaps you're worried about the impact this will have on your identity and ability to get things done. You have things you love to do, dreams and goals that are part of your identity and you definitely don't want to give that up just because you're being a mother!

This book is about that balancing act: about loving being a new mother and looking after your new baby without losing yourself in the process.

Part mindset and part productivity strategies, in this book I share the lessons I've learned from my own experience and from the experiences of many other mothers who are also artists, bloggers, writers, entrepreneurs, and more.

This book is for you if you are excited about becoming a mother but worried that it might swallow you up. It's for you if you were ever put off from having children because you get the feeling that you'll inevitably lose yourself. It's for you if you refuse to believe that becoming a mother means giving up on your dreams.

THE INSIDE STORY OF MY BATCH BLOGGING BEFORE BABY CHALLENGE.

(PDF EBOOK)

In 2016 I was due to have my second baby and I decided to batch my blog and automate my social media as much as I possibly could before the baby was born.

I set myself a 4 week challenge to do all this, and I sent regular updates from the challenge to the Too Busy To Blog list.

The blog I batched for was londonhiker.com, a niche website aimed at Londoners who love hiking!

Here are the unedited, honest, raw and real despatches from the frontline of batch blogging while I attempted to batch my blog with barely any time to work and being heavily pregnant.

You'll read about my feelings, frustrations and struggles as well as my mindset and practical tips and insights I discovered along the way.

You'll also see behind the scenes of how I run my blog, create a ton of resources & earn income online in just a few hours a week!

Often I feel like I'm working the infamous 4 Hour Work Week - but out of necessity, not choice!

I'm certainly NOT earning thousands but I DO manage to earn some income through my websites - I guess you'd called it 'passive income' since yes the money does come in while I sleep (although passive is a misnomer as it takes a heck of a lot of hard graft to get to that point).

But the thing I'm most proud of is how much I actually manage to get DONE in the very little time I have.

I did a personal batch blogging challenge to put my blog on autopilot (and generate income) whilst I went AWOL to have a baby (sign up for details of how I did it).

Thing is, until now I've been a 'closed book' about how and how much I actually achieve:

So I'm finally opening up about how I run my websites and was able to achieve all THIS in 12 months whilst working around 5 - 8 hours per week:

  • MADE 97 VIDEOS FOR MY BLOG, MY EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS AND MY CUSTOMERS
  • CREATED 125 EMAIL CAMPAIGNS ACROSS 11 MAILING LISTS
  • CREATED 72 AUTORESPONDER EMAILS
  • CREATED 24 BLOG POSTS
  • CREATED 17 PDF / EBOOKS / DOWNLOADABLE FILES AS FREEBIES, OPT INS, BONUSES OR PAID PRODUCTS
(THAT'S 335 PIECES OF CONTENT AVERAGING OUT AT 6.5 PER WEEK)

So in the same 12 months I:

  • MORE THAN DOUBLED MY MAILING LIST
  • CREATED 3 NEW PRODUCTS FOR SALE ONLINE
  • CREATED A 6 PART MOTIVATION & MINDSET FOR MOTHERS-TO-BE E-COURSE
  • CREATED A 9 PART TRAIL WALKING FOR FIRST TIMERS E-COURSE
  • CREATED A 13 PART EMAIL SERIES FOR INTERESTED FIRST TIME TRAIL WALKERS
  • RAN 3 SALES / LAUNCHES
  • MORE THAN TRIPLED MY FACEBOOK PAGE 'LIKES'

And during this time I really WAS too busy to blog:

  • I WAS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD MONDAY-FRIDAY, FULL TIME, FROM THE MOMENT I WOKE UP UNTIL ABOUT 6PM EACH DAY
  • ...EXCEPT FOR APPROXIMATELY JUST 5-8 HOURS PER WEEK OF CHILDCARE MONDAY-FRIDAY.
  • I DIDN'T WAKE UP AND WORK AT 4AM. (I CO-SLELPT WITH MY TODDLER AND NEVER MANAGED TO GET THE HANG OF WAKING EARLY WITHOUT WAKING HIM!)
  • EVENINGS WERE MOSTLY A WRITE-OFF: MY SON WAS NEVER AN EASY SLEEPER.
  • I DIDN'T WORK IN FRONT OF MY 3 YEAR OLD. ...AND HE STOPPED NAPPING MONTHS AGO...
  • I DIDN'T STAY UP UNTIL 2AM EVERY NIGHT.
  • I HAD 4 HOLIDAYS
  • AND I STILL SAW MY FRIENDS, DID YOGA, WATCHED A LOT OF TV AND DID SOME SEWING & PAINTING.
